VISITATION

Interested persons are always welcome to visit Noah's Rainbow.  You may tour our facility, observe our classrooms in action, and meet our staff by contacting Preschool Director, Kerri Shindle, at noahsrainbow@comcast.net or by calling her at 687-6392 (Mailbox #3).

  • Children are welcome to visit our classrooms at the same time that you do.

*To arrange an evening visit, please contact the director.*

SECURITY

OUR PRESCHOOL IS LOCATED IN A SECURE AREA OF WESLEY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH.  DOORS ARE LOCKED AT 9:15 AM AND REMAIN THAT WAY UNTIL WE BRING THE CHILDREN UPSTAIRS TO PARENTS FOR DISMISSAL.

PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES

During September, we will hold a morning and also an evening meeting to explain our program to you in more detail.  Childcare will be provided at both meetings.  Individual conferences are scheduled in March for the 4 Year Pre-K Classes and in April for the 3 Year Classes.  During the school year, conferences may be held any time the parent and/or teacher feels there is a need.

SPECIAL NEEDS

KIDSIGHT VISION SCREENINGS

The Susquehanna Association for the Blind and Vision Impaired currently screens over 4,000 preschool aged children through their KidSight Program where SABVI goes to local preschools, nursery schools and other areas to screen children for potential eye problems.

The KidSight Vision Screenings are held every fall.

PRESCHOOL EARLY INTERVENTION PROGRAM
The Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit (IU 13) has a Preschool Early Intervention Program.  The program serves children 3 to 5 years old who need specially designed instruction due to developmental delays.  If you are concerned about your child's progress, please arrange a conference with his/her teacher.
  • Screenings, evaluations, and services are free to parents. Depending on a child’s needs, services are provided at one of the many IU 13 sites throughout Lancaster and Lebanon counties, local daycare and preschool programs, or in your home.
If you think your child may need early intervention services, call the IU 13 Referral Hotline at 717-606-1601 for Lancaster and Lebanon counties or toll free at 888-745-0771.

IDENT-A-KID PHOTO IDENTIFICATION PROGRAM

Founded in 1986, Ident-A-Kid is America’s largest child safety provider of child identification cards. For over 20 years the company has provided pioneering programs and expert services designed to protect the safety of our children. Through its 250-plus locations nationwide, Ident-A-Kid issues over three million Immediate Response Child Rescue Identification cards each year to parents, schools and communities throughout the United States. The Ident-A-Kid card is a driver's license-like card that contains a child’s photograph, fingerprint, and description. Parents keep the card with them at all times and, in an emergency, can provide law enforcement with crucial information for immediate response.

The IDENT-A-KID Program is held every spring.
